Supply and borrow regulated euros on Arbitrum with EURe
EURe is now available in a new lending vault on Arbitrum, curated by KPK (Karpatkey) on Morpho.
The launch gives DeFi users a way to supply regulated euros or borrow EURe against crypto collateral. Unlike most stablecoins used in DeFi, EURe connects directly to the European payment system, allowing users to move between onchain euros and SEPA payments.
The vault is accessible directly through Morpho and through Bleap, our launch distribution partner.
Bringing euro lending to DeFi
DeFi lending has largely been built around US dollar stablecoins. For European users, this creates a gap between the currencies they use onchain and the euros they use for everyday payments.
EURe helps close that gap.
Issued by Monerium, EURe is a regulated euro e-money token, backed 1:1 by safeguarded euro reserves and redeemable at par.
With the launch of the KPK-curated vault on Arbitrum, users can now participate in euro-denominated lending without first converting their euros into US dollar stablecoins.
For borrowers, the connection to SEPA is particularly useful. EURe borrowed against crypto collateral can be redeemed into euros and transferred to a payment account, allowing onchain liquidity to be used for real payments.
How the EURe lending market works
The lending market runs on Morpho, with the EURe vault curated by KPK.
There are two ways to participate:
Supply EURe
Users holding EURe on Arbitrum can deposit their tokens into the KPK-curated vault on Morpho, making euros available for lending.
Borrow EURe
Users can borrow EURe against supported crypto collateral through Morpho lending markets. Borrowed EURe can be used onchain or redeemed into euros through a Monerium payment account.
KPK manages the vault using 24/7 automation for rebalancing, monitoring, and risk controls, with operations governed by scoped permissions.

From DeFi to SEPA payments
What makes EURe different from other assets used in DeFi lending is its direct connection to traditional euro payments.
Monerium is a licensed Electronic Money Institution authorized by the Central Bank of Iceland and compliant with MiCA. We became the first EMI authorized to issue e-money on a public blockchain in 2019.
For eligible EEA residents, Monerium provides a dedicated EUR IBAN in the user’s own name, connected to their wallet.
This allows users to:
- Receive euros: Incoming SEPA payments automatically mint EURe into the connected wallet.
- Send euros: Redeem EURe and transfer euros to another payment account through SEPA.
- Make third-party payments: Send euros directly to individuals or businesses using their EUR IBAN.
SEPA Instant payments typically settle in about five seconds. Monerium charges no fees for SEPA payments through EURe IBANs, although third-party and onchain transaction costs may apply.
This means EURe borrowed through DeFi can be used beyond Arbitrum, including for everyday euro payments.
Available through Morpho and Bleap
Users can access the EURe vault directly through Morpho.
The vault is also available through Bleap, our launch distribution partner.
Bleap brings together self-custody, euro payment accounts, card spending, and onchain finance in a single app, using Monerium’s regulated euro infrastructure.
With the addition of the EURe vault, Bleap users can access euro lending alongside their existing payment functionality.
For wallets and fintechs looking to offer similar functionality, Monerium provides the infrastructure to connect regulated onchain euros with named IBANs and SEPA payments.
