Senior software engineer
We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, high-performance backend systems that are integral to our e-money-as-a-service platform. Your expertise will drive the integration of our services with various blockchains and traditional banking systems, ensuring secure and efficient payment flows for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and systems to support Monerium's e-money services.
- Ensure backend systems are secure, scalable, and maintain high performance to handle increasing transaction volumes.
- Develop and implement best practices for backend architecture, including database design, system integration, and performance optimization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to backend functionality and performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in software engineering, with a significant focus on backend development.
- Proficiency in Go programming language.
- Strong understanding of backend architecture and best practices.
- Experience with SQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Previous startup experience, demonstrating the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience working remotely, with strong skills in asynchronous communication and self-management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
