Stablecoin Conference: Which ambitions for Europe?

Jón Helgi Egilsson was invited as a speaker at a Conference in Paris on January 15th 2020, “Which ambitions for Europe?” organized by ConsenSys France and Paris Europlace.

At the conference, Banque de France Deputy Governor Denis Beau implicitly endorsed Monerium approach of “building on and adapting the functional coverage of existing regulatory frameworks”.

He also said, “what comes to mind in particular is the framework for crypto-assets service providers created in France with the Pacte bill, and the European framework for e-money issuers”
